SHENZHEN – The Hong Kong Trade Development Council launched a new platform – GoGBA One-Stop Platform – on Thursday to publish information and news on business opportunities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor and Shenzhen Mayor Qin Weizhong joined offline ceremonies held in the two cities simultaneously, with government officials, business executives and entrepreneurs attending the event via a video link.

The HKTDC also set up a GoGBA Business Support Centre in Shenzhen, Guangdong province, and signed memorandums of understanding on strategic partnership to set up more such centers in Guangzhou, Zhuhai and Dongguan, which are among nine mainland cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area

The HKTDC also set up a GoGBA Business Support Centre in Shenzhen, Guangdong province, and signed memorandums of understanding on strategic partnership to set up more such centers in Guangzhou, Zhuhai and Dongguan, which are among nine mainland cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The council also launched a GoGBA WeChat mini program to disseminate information on public health, cross-border transportation services, latest subsidy policies and market demand in the 11-city cluster.

In her keynote speech, the Hong Kong leader said that a series of seminars would be organized soon in special administrative region and Shenzhen to discuss the latest policies and successful experiences in the Bay Area.

Besides the GoGBA platform, the SAR government will also extend supporting measures to help Hong Kong businessmen further explore the domestic market, including increasing the funding ceiling of the Dedicated Fund on Branding Upgrading and Domestic Sales, or the BUD Fund, Lam added.

She also pledged to expand the scope of the SME marketing fund to online exhibitions, so that Hong Kong companies can conduct more online and offline promotion activities in the Bay Area.
