HONG KONG – Hong Kong's Centre for Food Safety has called on members of the public not to consume two Häagen-Dazs ice cream products that might have been contaminated with a banned pesticide.

The two products were found to contain ethylene oxide, a pesticide banned in the European Union, according to the CFS

In a statement issued on Tuesday, a spokesman for the CFS said the products are Häagen-Dazs Vanilla Ice Cream Pint (473 milliliters) with a best-before date of April 13, 2023 and Häagen-Dazs Vanilla Ice Cream Bulk (9.46 liters) with a best-before date of Oct 26, 2022. The products were imported from France by General Mills Hong Kong Limited.
