Chuang said 27 new cases were linked to the cluster at the Shuffle bar in Central, bringing its tally to  69. An environmental sample taken from a toilet doorknob also tested positive.

“We have advised the property owner to conduct a thorough disinfection,” she said.

Chuang said the total number of infections at the Linq bar reached 78 after it had 13 new cases while the tally at Iron Fairies bar rose to 53 after it also had three more infections.

“In Zentral club, the outbreak is coming to an end,” Chuang said, adding that two new cases, involving a customer and a man who helped at the club, were found there.
