HONG KONG – The Hong Kong government completed compulsory testing exercises for the "restricted areas" in Tuen Mun and Cheung Sha Wan districts and found 33 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday.

The government made restriction-testing declarations on Tuesday to cover Hei Tin House of Yan Tin Estate in Tuen Mun as well as Yee Hong, Yee Yan and Yee Sau houses of Yee Kok Court in Cheung Sha Wan. The declarations were made after the coronavirus was detected in sewage discharged from the blocks.

At Hei Tin House where around 2,200 people underwent testing, 29 positive cases and one indeterminate case were identified.

For the three buildings of Yee Kok Court, four out of 593 people tested positive for the virus.

The Centre for Health Protection will follow up on the cases.
