HONG KONG – Hong Kong reported a total of 3,642 new COVID-19 infections on Wednesday, a slight increase from yesterday’s 3,286, as well as 10 COVID-related deaths.

The new cases comprised 3,318 locally acquired infections and 324 imported cases, the Centre for Health Protection said in a statement.

In a separate statement, the Hospital Authority said there were 1,675 COVID-19 patients being treated in public hospitals, 182 of whom were newly admitted.

A total of 19 COVID patients were in serious condition and 36 in critical condition, which included 13 receiving intensive care, it added.
